The uniqueness of this DC Fast charger is the 160 kWh built-in energy storage battery bank which also limits utility Demand Charges.

Operating on a 240 Volt split phase or 208 Volt 3 phase supply system, Freewire Boost chargers fit, where a 480 Volt 3 phase supply is not easily or economically available.

FreeWire Boost is ideal for installation in rural, workplace, retail, and other settings, where cost of upgrading the electrical utility supply infrastructure can often be prohibitive. A significant benefit avoiding eating into profit margins, expensive utility peak power demand charges will be managed and minimized, because the charger controls the grid demand to never exceed 27 kW, compared to the 100 - 175 kW peak demand or more of other DCFCs.

The Freewire Charger delivers 75 kW per cord, charging two EVs simultaneously or 150 kW through a single cord, making it NEVI-Ready.

And Freewire Boost Chargers comply fully with the Made in America requirements of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Sept. 2021).
